When you go into the forest, watch out for the shroogers! It'd be sad if you accidentally stepped on one! :c

Photoshop Cs3, who knows how many hours.

Here's the (outdated)walkthrough [link]

EDIT: Re-painted pretty much half the image, giving botht he character a whole new shading and the overall image a new atmosphere. The older image looked a bit too dry so I added some morning fog, a bit of light and, of course, that glossy glow the fur gives off when it's slightly wet and lighted up.
/blahblahblah, enjoy.

First of all I ca see why this is one of your favorites! You have come along way since I first watched you with your coloring techniques and anatomy! I really suggest you make a print of this, its adorable really!

First off the things that I really like:
1.The tigers eyes, the eyes are usually a main focal point in a lot of illustrations. I like how the right eye is shaded in to show the direction of the light. That's a clever 3d trick seeing how most people don't even figure out that faces are 3demensional also.

2. The shape of the mushroom, the grass and the darkness creates a boarder for this picture. Everything causes the eye to go strait towards the tiger on the mushroom.

3. The coloring, you keep it simple and I can clearly see the color palette you have chosen. All the details are in the tiger and the mushroom.

If I was to suggest anything different it would be:
1. The tigers rump look a little off, the leg and its position is good but big felines have nearly strait backs going strait to their hips. The hip bone almost always sticks out even when viewed from the front. When they felines back is "curved" their head looks as if its hanging low. The anatomy only looks off in the back though, the rest is pretty much dead on.

2. The detailed fur is done really well but on the underside towards the back of the tiger it gets smaller and finer looking, the fur is facing the viewer towards his belly and it can appear shorter but it should appear longer and fluffier then the fur on top. Tigers also have a belly bulge most of the time and skin that hangs down a little bi towards their back legs, making them look really fluffy on their underbellies. My shading technique would have been to tip the fur a little bit in the shaded area with white barely to show dimension and the light hitting the end of the fur through the legs.

A nice touch, though this is just purely what I would do, is make some little blurry spots like floating dust bunnies or spores floating in the picture. (Like make three or four of them just floating around) I would place the randomly but have a couple of them in the area on the top right to lead the viewer back up to the tiger's eyes.

Really the only thing I can point out is that the back of the tiger looks a bit off, but the front anatomy is so well done its hardly noticeable. Other then that the composition of this picture is really awesome. It really made me stop and look at this, I even saved this to my desktop because this would make a neat background on my laptop xD. Keep up the good work Skull *slaps ass*

I absolutely love the style of this tiger. It kind of reminds me of this book I loved as a child called "Tigerella" .... now I want to read it again. I don't have it anymore though ;-; Nicely done!!!

This is adorable. I love the pose the tiger is in, and the shading on here is amazing too. The paw on the tiger is amazing as well, and it's just an overall amazing picture. <3 I love this.

You posted the first one almost a year and a half ago? Really? o__o. Damn time Y U FLY? ANYWAY. This is prooobably one of my favorite things of yours. It's got so much lovely DETAIL to it and I just love it! All that gorgeous soft fur and I love the pretty atmosphere you set up with that delicious dark forest. Plus the red in the mushroom goes super-well with the green grass hnn. AND I WANT TO TAKE THAT TIGER HOME WITH ME. I love his little inquisitive happy face and his lanky little legs. And that chest fluff is to DIE for omg. Definitely a ton of improvements! <333333
