Dratini's evolution chart by HaanPere Dratini's evolution chart by HaanPere
Before you say anything, lemme tell you that this thing is badly outdated. Comments will not be replied to.

Yes, I do know none of the evos are water type. However, they live in/near water, thus aquatic anatomy. You're free to inform me they're not water type now.

So, I was talking with [link](Ty) and said that I was asked to make a realistic Dratini-Dragonair evolution chart and she, of course, thought that it was a great idea. So I started scribbling something, we talked a lot about the thing and she showed me someone else's version of the Dragonite which somewhat resembles this one.
She then said that she's rather keep the original Dragonite a beauty evolution or an item-trade evo. And heck, the item-trade sounded a pretty good idea and I instantly thought about the Dragon Claw as well as Dragon Scale (but claw's more badass, hurr).
And since Dratini's evos are all water-type, I decided to make the bodies look like they belong to that element, hence original!Dragonite's crocodile-esque limbs.

So here you have, my version of Dratini's evos. I hope you enjoy.

Pokemon Nintendo or something

FYI: None of Dratini's forms are water type.

Otherwise, neat picture.

:3 hey! whats that supposed to mean xD
I don't know if it's all apart of your concept, but NONE of the Dratini evo's are any part water. It's straight up dragon. With the exception of Dragonite who I think is part flying.

Although I DID say this: "Before you say anything, lemme tell you that this thing is badly outdated. Comments will not be replied to.", I'll reply this time.

Drati-family can be found exclusively from water(with the exception of dragonite, of course, since you'll only get it by trading/leveling up), so yes two years ago I did think it's a water-type. Not that others didn't already point that out years ago... >___>

Dratini was my first ever dragon Pokemon sense well the first game I used hacks to catch a dratini in all the games though i never did get it to the dragonite stage i was able to beat most games with a max level at 45. I love this chart it is so much better suited for dratini then what they went with.

It was my first dragon pokemon as well! I usually evolved it to Dragonite and leveled up to 70s or 80 just to be able to beat anything and eeverything. BD
Thanks! :D

i love the blue dragonite!
I will say I like the maintaining of the colours through the evolutionary chain where as with traditional Pokemon the altered Dragonite to be tan/brown dragon... I also enjoy the feathered wing look. Colours I think should stay maintained amongst all level evolutions.
